How to change in-tank filter for pajero / montero? Here is the video about 4th generation, but principle is the same.

Just one more thing - check how dirty is the fuel tank. If there is a lot of dirt, mud, sand, etc, then better is to lift down the fuel tank, clean it and verify if there is no rust already.

If no rust, then just add some anti-rust agent ar something from hammerite production and all good for couple of years. I did that (painting my fuel tank with anti-rust agent) 4 years ago, but needs to be verificated also this year. So far so good :)
